That's gotta hurt just entering the tube. Assuming it works by suction, the sudden change in air pressure would rupture your eardrums. But it's a cartoon, so who cares.

The only way I can see this feasibly work in real life is that each person gets buckled down in a seat in some kind of glass gyrophere that can rotate in any direction and that gets shot around the tube using vacuum pressure. But each one has to fit at least 2 to 3 people in the case when adults travel with small children or infants. Or maybe chain them together somehow.
