lol, it's funny how the professor became less and less doddering and passive as the series went on.

I love how his age makes him so oblivious and innocent to the situation that he doesn't question how his uncle could look so young or that he even lets them in his house to see if it's true.

The professor probably wouldn't have been alive much longer, but inserting Fry Leela and Bender into his life overstimulated his brain and gave him at least 10 or 20 added years, maybe more..
