Top 5 | Mispronounced Cycling Brands (Part 2)

It’s time for our top 5 mispronounced cycling brands part 2. And we say part two, because we produced a similar video way back in 2018.

Well, it seems that initial 5 just wasn’t enough, with many more mispronunciations popping up again and again.

There are surely more that we’ve missed so let us know what they are in the comments. Are there any that you’ve been saying wrong this whole time? And we're sure you'll let us know what you think of our accents in the comments too!

I work in a bike shop and the best I’ve ever heard is “trek Mad One” instead of Madone. Also fine it funny when people call ultegra

In Polish "sram" means literally "I'm shitting", so SRAM XD hub is even more funny ;)
BTW "osram" (like lightbulb brand OSRAM) means "I'll shit over" :)

I own a Marin... and I used to mispronounce it. Then one day out in the middle of a ride I realized that Marin bikes were named after Marin county... which I knew how to pronounce correctly. Epiphanies are wierd.

Speaker: " Is it A-Bus, or... - it's actually *totally mispronouncing it*". If Marin or Mondraker were identified as an issue by you, you totally wrecked ABUS. A like in "_a_rbitrary", BU like in "_bu_tcher", then the S!

VAUDE - wrong answers only. It's pronounced Fao De, after the german pronounciation of the Letters V and D, which are actually initials.

It's not "CampaGnolo". In italian, everytime you see "GN" together, it sounds like the Ñ in spanish, in this case: "campañolo".
Mondraker is Spanish and I don't know where you did your research but nope, it's not "mon-dray-care"; it sounds just "mon-drah-ker"
