This video of X-Plane 12 is meant to be a feature showcase to show all the visual enhancements that the new simulator brings. Please note that everything in this video is default x-plane 12 except the EGLL scenery which is by TaiModels and Stewart Airport. Though X-Plane 12 does not use satellite imagery, it has beautiful graphical assets at every airport, incredible lighting engine, 3D water, 3D vegetation, and excellent selection of aircraft.

I've found that XP11, XP12, and MSFS 2020 all have their pros and cons, so I'm finding myself flying all 3. Not one meets all the requirements in their current state, but the future looks bright and progressing.

Excellent video, and a very good choice of musical score. XP 12 is slowly but surely improving, and is already providing gorgeous visuals, even with the default scenery and airports (I find them so good that I might not reinstall some of my custom ones once they're updated..). Thanks for your great contribution to flight simming, so happy to support your channel.

Really gorgeous, an excellent showcase of XP12. I paid for it on Day 1 and have gone through all the Betas and release candidates - the one thing that sticks with me, and what is shown here, is how beautifully the aircraft behave. Thats how aircraft behave in the real world!
It's still early days for XP12, but I see some seriously beautiful scenes out of the cockpit window. If you know anything about what X-Plane is, you accept the limitations and also accept that this is a work in progress. The best is yet to come, but what we have already is quite amazing! Thanks Q8Pilot - this is a fabulous vid!

The only thing I saw in the video that bugged me was the water had no randomness to it and you could see the water-line-patches. Other than that, it looked great! Thanks for doing it in 4K!

XP is my first choice as you know Sam. The graphics may not be perfect but the flight dynamics can't be beat MSFS or anyone else.Great video!
