In this video, Adam teaches you 3 simple tips to stop sliding in the golf swing. By establishing a post on the lead leg, aka. hip bump, the amount of sliding in the backswing and downswing will be limited. When you are sliding, the hips will out pace the hands, leading to flipping and disconnection between the arms and hips.

This golf instruction is absolutely the best content on YouTube. I’ve been watching golf instruction on this channel for years. Malaska, Milo Lines, Be Better Golf, Cogorno…etc. This takes it to the next level. Love the way he communicates and lays out very specific drills and concepts. Thank you so much for providing this content for free. How cool would it be to get a lesson from you!! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

The absolute best golf instruction on YouTube! Watching and applying Adams techniques to my practice has improved all facets of my game and improved my scores drastically. I've got to get out West for some one on one with Porzak Golf!

This video popped up on my phone and the title was cutoff, I only saw 3 SIMPLE TIPS TO STOP I thought to myself, please say sliding and not slicing, please say sliding and not slicing, please say sliding and not slicing. The point being, Adam knows knows the golf swing and what really matters to players. Over the years I've watched videos from just about every Youtube golf instructor and Adam is simply the best. Adam's videos got my backswing and over the top move cleaned up after 10+ years of trying. The sliding was something I've noticed in my swing recently and this video really hit the spot. Thank you.

Many of your videos watched, first comment. I deleted all other golf teachers. Your teaching is king. Someday I intend to get an in person lesson.

Until then - "right knee stays outside of right foot " is a bloody genius swing thought to stop my sway. Focusing on my lead hip removes the fluidity of my swing, but the trail knee thought - wow. Gold man. Absolute gold.

I should be paying you to watch these videos.

Dear Adam,
Absolutly oustanding golf lessons. I have also bought your fullswing masterclass. I have been playing for fourty years and tried out several internet pros the last years (chuck quinton, chris ryan, danny maud, eric cogorno, craig hanson, martin chuck, …) but i have never seen a so clear swing concept and easy to understand. Last week i tried the setup position (70/30) and the hip bump and got a solid ballcontact, that i havent had for decades. Balls went straight, long, with compression and ease. Wunderful.!!! Unfortunately from the 13the hole I got tierd and fell back to my old habbits, cound‘t rotate any more and swayed again.
Questions:
(1) Can you explain the hip bump on a drawing from above? In some videos it looks like you go with your lead hip 1 inch in direction of target line and one inch in direction of heels? And the lead hip is higher than the trail hip? How can we incorporate this in out muscle memory to stay for ever?
(2) Are there posibillities for personal trainings / intensiv trainings? (Golf academy / Golf sabbatical)?

Kind Regards
Michael

Question? What is the move when you have shaft lean that allows you to get down to the ball?

My head is moving all over the place in my backswing and downswing and I'm lunging forward instead of turning. Will this hip bump and post help? Thanks! Great video, Adam! Thanks!

Also for me what helped is to also feel like you are moving your left hip back one inch so that pressure is on your toes not heels

So the hip bump is at address- also need to make sure to have enough hinge at the hips to allow for a bigger hip turn.

On the downswing, do the lateral shift and a big hip bump while maintaining spine angle- which means the sternum also moves laterally toward target. Is this the 4-6” shift?

Like you said this player is very flexible. Don’t you think for most players to advocate for more hip turn? Something very simple at address is to turn the feet out with the left foot turned out more. In my opinion this hip bump is difficult on the hip joint and actually puts pressure on the facet joints of the lumbar spine. But I guess if your flexible you can do this.

I really dont understand setting more tilt in your spine at address. Gears shows that the majority of tour players set up with a neutral spine. (90 degrees).

GEARS analysis of tour level players shows 1-2" of horizontal shift during backswing and 3-4" after transition. The old "turn like you're in a barrel" idea isn't reality for the best players.
