I want to get a MacBook Air next year because I would need a laptop for school and the job I want but we only have a budget for a midrange laptop and knowing midrange computers they will not last that long with me especially the battery so should I save up for a MacBook Air (a 2017 or the latest one next year) or just get a midrange one then if it breaks just get a new one?

I enjoyed the video, but a lot of your facts on the macbook air were incorrect... the macbook has thunderbolt 3 ports instead of thunderbolt 2 and actually does include a retina display.

I've heard good things about the Lenovo Yoga C740 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3, are those good options? Or is there another good laptop that can be used for school and light gaming- like roblox and minecraft, with decent battery life? Is the Surface Laptop 1 or 2 better than 3 for the price?
