I’ve got an 02 Chevy monte and the dash lights would go dim then they would brighten. Sometimes they’d shut off completely! I went through all of the fuses the battery and finally the Alternator. Since I was changing the alternator I changed the fan belt. Half hour after the alternator was changed my lights came on normally on the instrumentation panel and have been on since

Just had my alternator tested, it is brand new. Bad voltage regulator…

It’s a bad sign of your battery on the truck going bad and it probably means that it would last for at least a year so if you start your truck up and the odometer sign starts flickering, it’s not really a problem it just means the battery might be bad but it happens on older vehicles like 2020 or below so it’s common on older vehicles like 2008 or 2002 if the truck won’t really start up and all of the dash starts flickering that means that it’s struggling to work trucks that start up fast and if it works, it’s good, but if it’s struggling hard, and the first 10 seconds that wouldn’t work means that your battery is bad and you’re gonna need a new one which takes $100.

This happens when the alternator over charges the system typically.

Voltage regulator its part of your alternator or could be just a loose belt or a bad pully or tensioner

Most likely the battery and or the alternator. If it has the original alternator and you know if the battery is 3 years old it's best to replace them both

Light Switch is going out… you needs to replace it… just remember that someone parts gives warning that something is about to go out
