My first solo on June 7th, 2017! It was in a 1971 Cessna 150L from Sterling Flight Training out of CRG in Jacksonville, Florida! Had tons of fun and I can't wait to keep progressing towards my PPL!

Late too the game but this has to be the nicest c150 interior I’ve ever seen!

I remember my first supervised solo. It was great! The instructor and I did about 3 touch and gos, then taxied back and he got out. He said I was ready. NO sweat really, and since he was sort of an overweight fella, the plane climbed like a homesick angel like he said it would :) That was about 1973, I really need to get back up there with an instructor one day to see what I retained. So costly now even for a 2 se
ater. Back then it was like $10/ hr and that included fuel! Good luck to you sir, and never get overconfident in your skills.

I was 17 on my first solo. I was less nervous not having the instructor with me!
I always landed with the throttle off. After a few landings I knew exactly where to kill the throttle to set down perfectly. Back then gas was 50 cents a gallon and I had hours of fun for almost no cost. My dad bought the 150 for me to learn. Even the plane was cheap.

Hi ! I know it is not an easy task to perform a first flight. But, as I am a quite "old" pilot very accustomed to C-150-152, the first thing you have to rely is the plane itself ! The C-152 (or 150, doesn't change anything) is very easy to move on while the wind is OK. I directly saw one thing wrong... your left hand ! Your hand is tensed on ! Just relax ! Secondly, take your nose on the right place you want to land and use the throttle gently. and, finally, let the plane go and pull at the right moment. You landed two times with power on ! It is not good ! When you are landing, throttle MUST be OFF !

step 1 - boldly acend into the sky - check
step 2 - fly around with no plummeting for a while - check
step3 - return to the runway landing like a thistledown in the wind - well, I dunno, first solo ? ok check.

well done.
wait wut ? ascending again into the sky ? I was never allowed to do that unttil after the 5th solo. ;-(

muito legal o seu video, gostei onde você colocou a câmera, do lado da cabeça e não em cima, para uma melhor visão!

I was signed off for solo after 6 hours and x country in 10 . Fly by the rules, it's not rocket science . When I seen the HULK land a 747 I knew it was easy .

Do you have to pay a landing fee for each touch and go?
