Luke Skywalker: *Laughs knowing that he moved a black hole in legends*

My problem with Starkiller was the time period they set him in. Being in the same time as the OT, he kinda overshadows Luke Skywalker who should be the only powerful Force user besides the Emperor and Vader. Should’ve had Starkiller either in the distant past or future.

Lucas put in a LOT of input for these games. The developers asked Lucas if it was okay to make an overpowered character and he gave his blessing.

Okay, here's a funny story that is actually true. I think they talk about it in some behind the scenes documentary. Lucas wanted a new, story-driven game with the newest tech available. Hayden Blackman and his team later pitched the idea of a wookiee warrior protagonist who is physically strong, can rip out arms and stuff. Lucas was like: I told you to make a story-driven game and you came up with a protagonist who can't speak English? :D
When they finally came up with Starkiller and his overpowered abilities, they showed a short demo video to Lucas, to which he replied: Yes, this is the game the fans would love!
This story is not 100% true, I'm paraphrasing it, but it holds more truth than the video above.

Guys the obvious reason for the incredible capabilities is just because they were trying to make a fun video game and use this new engine. Suspend belief for the sake of the medium. If it were a movie obviously the powers would be toned way down. But be able to separate the story and the gameplay in your head

George Lucas never said he hated the character.... In fact he gave insightful tips about how to handle the character and what needed to be in the story in the first place

_"Size matters not! Judge me by my size, do you?"_

Literally a line George Lucas wrote, implying the Force has no limits.

Hang on, this is all wrong. Lucas never hated Starkiller, in fact he was very supportive of the Force Unleashed games much to the point he's the reason why the games (at least the first one) is the way it is, because the team had trouble finalising the story and Lucas told them what to do and we get one of the greatest Star Wars games ever. The Collector's Edition of the Force Unleashed novel goes into detail about this, Lucas never hated Starkiller, partly because he had a hand in creating him.

George Lucas actually was down for making Starkiller. He was at the meetings gave his input got the actor and design and built him. Anything George touches is true cannon. The light side ending for TFU2 would’ve been a great leading to him maybe being the one to help the Wookiee’s as his father once did. That would be perfect for star wars. His ending helping wookies, following the path of his father and creating a life with Proxy and Juno away from the empire on a distant planet.

Is Starkiller was introduced in live action and was this OP it would honestly be disastrous and make the character we love feel very small.
I’m down to see him as an tough ass inquisitor but they need to nerf him

Honestly, the fact Starkiller was so powerful is what made the games fun.
It made the player feel like a god.

George Lucas didn't hate him at all.

He completely approved his character and gave some guidance to the TFU team on how his relationship with Vader should be. He told the team to give Starkiller a love interest(Juno) and a mentor(kota). He also told them that Emperor should be the final boss and not Vader. Plus, he told them that Starkiller should beat Vader in the end because "Vader is a broken man".

Also, if he really hated him he wouldn't have allowed them to make TFU 2 and bring Starkiller back from the death.

It's kinda funny that how "he hated Starkiller" and yet he made a copy of his character in clone wars.(known as Ahsoka)

I wonder if George hates Rey more than Starkiller...

I mean, Vader felt a strong connection of the force in kashykk back when he was a boy. So he trained him up until he was an adult and became MUCH more stronger with the force. And we’re talking about the chosen one training him.

Haden Blackman is awesome, he was the right man they hired to make this game and all if the story decisions were approved by Lucas himself. I don't know where you got the info that Lucas hated him...

George Lucas didn't hate this character. He probably wouldn't want someone so powerful in a film, but he understood that unleashing the force worked best in the video game format.

It's funny because both Darth Scion and Darth Nihlus do more overpowered things. Starkiller pulls a Star Destroyer down but Nihlus consumes entire planets and Scion is literaly 'a man too angry to die' xD

The making of the game shows the team telling how they all stood around the fax machine waiting for a fax from Lucas approving multiple story points.

They cheered each one that showed up agreed.
