Warner Bros. Pictures presents a new experience in the world of M. Night Shyamalan—“Trap” —featuring performances by rising music star Saleka Shyamalan.

A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, “Trap” stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill. The film is produced by Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and M. Night Shyamalan. The executive producer is Steven Schneider.

The director of photography is Sayombhu Mukdeeprom (“Call Me by Your Name”). The production designer is Debbie de Villa (“The Hating Game”). It is edited by Noëmi Preiswerk and the music is by Herdĭs Stefănsdŏttir (“Knock at the Cabin”). The music supervisor is Susan Jacobs (“Old”); the costume designer is Caroline Duncan (“Old”). The casting is by Douglas Aibel (“Asteroid City”).

Good trailer, Shamalayan can be hit or miss but this looks rather interesting and original. Hartnett has been out of the spotlight for a while, he’s been doing a lot of work as a supporting actor but it’s nice to see him in a lead role. The prevailing theory is that Josh’s character is the killer but I think it’s the guy working who tells him about the situation. He was keen to let out a big secret at the expense of his job, serial killers who execute an elaborate plan tend to inform the victims of their intent. We shall see, I’m definitely going to check this out.

This is filmed in London. In the Wembley OVO Arena. I've been there. Looking forward for this. This looks interesting and Josh Harnett is an incredible actor.

Plot twist is that the pop star is really the butcher and the guy was only seeing weird ads on his Bejeweled.

That sounds like a lot of resources tapped to search for someone they have no ID for. What evidence would they have that would incriminate him yet also not identify him specifically? Sans finding his secret serial killer camera app on his phone of course.

Also, clearly it was the daughter that tipped them off.

The twist at the end, both the Josh Hartnett character and the Lady Raven are serial killers. The trap was set for her, not him, but he blows it.
