The battery charges. It stopped arcing. I cleaned it and it still won’t arc. Do they wear out? How do I fix it or do I need to replace it? I love this lighter. It was given to me as a gift a few years ago. Best candle lighter on the market.

This How-To is very basic. How do you clean the lighter to make sure it keeps working after use? There doesn't seem to be any instructions for long-term maintenance, but it's very easy for the lighter to stop working when it touches an already used wick. Also, is there any indicator for when the lighter needs to be recharged, or a way to tell once it's fully charged?
