That was fun to watch, thanks! When my glass French Press broke last year, I noticed the plunger part fitted a large mug, and so i made coffee that way, until I got a replacement. The replacement was stainless steel, to avoid future breakages!

Nice vid as usual, great idea. For those who do not already have a stanley or other metal cup, Stanley has a great french press and cup set for $25, works great also!!

Great hack, Mark. French presses are pretty common at yardsales and nearly new shops. Thank you.

cool hack! I'm a coffee lover too. the french press is good for making coffee. I've been using the Stanley 160z/472ml french press for years and like it a lot. If you haven't tried one it is great for travel and hiking.

I like that "lip guard". I have never seen those before. I'll keep my eyes open for some now that I know that they exist. Do they cause any dribbling, spilling or leaking of liquid when using? I just got a GSI 20 ounce Glacier cup/pot and those "lip guards" look like they would be handy to have for this new cup when drinking hot coffee out of as you are doing here.

Love the bear hat!!! I donated a glass french press. It never occurred to me to try it on something else. I hope it went to someone with a little more insight than I had.
