LG G4 or Samsung S95D | MLA or QD OLED TV Good Question!

LG vs Samsung the battle will be bigger than ever in 2024 maybe even with the winner taking home a few Best TV of 2024 awards with Sony expected to not release a flagship OLED TV in 2024 so of the actual 2024 TVs who will win S95D or G4, or should you just get the S90D QD-OLED or even a 2023 model like the S90C / S89C or G3?

Samsung's sales would go off the charts if they finally included Dolby Vision with all their new models.
Pretty much every other brand offers it as standard.

I hope LG fixes the color boost in game mode
Alpha 11 must fix this issue if LG is really serious
I need to upgrade the C9

After owning 2 Oled tv's the LG G1 and Samsung S95B i'm leaning back to the Sony new mini LED tv this time. I hope its panel refreshment is 144Hz for gaming

S95D dropped the ball w/ matte. I can see why they thought it was necessary, but it will greatly hurt picture quality.

I just hope the new A11 gen processor from the LG G4 will be an beast when it comes to picture quality/video processing/ colors etc. They said it will be, let's wait for the reviews. Holding off from buying for now untill reviews roll out. Going from an 55" c1 to hopefully the new 77" G4

My LG G3 judders too much no matter what setting i use. The colors don't pop as well. It most likely will be returned.

Samsung's choice of putting a matte-type screen on their S95D makes it a NO go... Way to compromise on a glossy screen's better contrast, richer colors, deeper blacks, etc... NO thanks!

Great and down to earth explanation. I think that others have mentioned, but 2025 seems to be the really important one in terms of a push for technological upgrades.

This is my favorite channel for TV opinions. I'm waiting for a sale on the 55" S90C. Hope it hits $1100 or so. I would settle for a C3 48-55 at the right price. I'm sold on QD-OLED and would like to get that for all my panels, but the only one I really want it for sure is my desktop monitor. Looking at the 27" MSI QD-OLED 1440P. I don't really use my TV much, and prefer smaller sizes so they can more gracefully be moved out of my living room and into a bedroom if I want to. Generally that's 55" or smaller.

R u getting the apple vision pro? Some vr enthusiasts believe that the display quality in vr headsets by 2030 might just look better then tvs. I could see this happening i have a meta quest 3 it looks good but in mixed reality theres a quality to seeing a floating window in your space. Its a beautiful effect. I hope u at least go try it in a store and fomo preordered 1😮

I have the S95C and I don’t feel like I got a bad deal. I understand you can be fine with the S90C but I’ve really enjoyed my experience with the S95C. It’s rejuvenated my love for gaming something my LG G2 did not. The color depth on a QDOLED really puts them in a class all on their own. I will never own another WOLED again as I couldn’t care less how bright a white screen get. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen an all white screen in my use case. Even talking about how bright whites get is irrelevant.

Can I ask you, i heard about Samsung having higher PPI on 2024 screens, but do you know if it is only on Pc screens or also on Tv screens?

The new G4 is supposed to be released March 11th. It should be as good as the A95L and will probably be better! Plus it's gonna be cheaper and will have bigger sizes. Will easily be the TV of the year.

Couple questions for you... I know the 55 and 65 G4 will have/come with the new stand, but even if the 83' G4 wont come with that stand, will it still come with ANY stand? If it came with same but bigger stand as 55 and 65 I'd be getting that 83. I can't wall mount where I'm at.

Also and probably more importantly to me, how do you think someone coming from an s95b to a G4 would feel? I've only ever had Samsung QLED's and the 95b OLED is the only OLED i've ever had. Thanks!

It's funny that G3 is always compared in HGIG mode when Samsung always has tone processing enabled. Personally, I sold the s95c, took the G3 and switched it to cinema mode and I don’t see any problems with brightness in comparison with the Samsung, but the overall image quality is much better and no delays prevent me from playing. If you are a really good player, then even at 60Hz you will defeat everyone, but for bad gamers even 500Hz will do nothing, this is just marketing for casuals
