I have met Nikki Lauda in Ibiza by accident. Walking around the coastal path to go fishing I came across a couple of gated rear entrances to some large Villas, one of which apparently belonged to Nikki Lauda's mother in law... he was visiting and I saw him through a gap in the fence and plucked up the courage and shouted... he came to the gate and we talked about F1 and fishing. This Villa was apparently where he stayed after getting severely burnt in the nurburgring crash... this was a while back in the 90s and I was about 14 at the time... I can't remember where exactly it was but it was near the S'argamassa Palace Hotel.

But Lauda was the best sportsman and gentleman, he almost died, but came back, he is awesome,

Maclaren cars back in the seventies were best, without the money Ferrari had,
Those were the days, drivers were truely amazing,
But so many died, now so much technology and safety measures, but there are no real stars to cheer for 😢
