I loved episode 31 and it’s really top three all time episodes of one piece but for me one piece got really good and it became my favorite anime at Whiskey Peak

For me, i watched the intro and was like "this seems pretty hype", saw the first ep and went "that was pretty good, but idk if I could watch 1000 more eps of this", then after romance dawn i thought "oh shit this is hype, Im definitely gonna watch till at least end of east blue", then arlong park, zoro vs mihawk, and lougetown happened and the rest is history lol.

Ep 52 or 53 did it for me. I caught up on OP in 2018 or so then i stayed up to date weekly until the pandemic. 2020 i start rewatching OP. Loguetown had a different weight to it. Everything that happened there is legendary, and only a handful of Straw Hats were there. Journey should've been over before it even started, but greater forces were at play . I still get chills thinking about how that storm was brewing for entire episodes like a spirit bomb. Then does the job when the prerequisites were fulfilled. Incredible storytelling from year one i swear

Honest answer is it’s pretty ok until you reach syrup village which drags on far longer than needed. But I would the first great arc is Arlong park. The series fluctuates between good and bad arcs but the further you go along the bad arcs become better and the good arcs become more peak

I feel like Baratie is also really good with the fight scenes, I just finished arlong park today but I need to say that so far I think Baratie has the best fight scenes.
