DIY Mobile Workbench with Table Saw & Router Table / Ep 1

Показать описание
This is the first video in a five-part series where I'll show you how to build a robust and versatile woodworking bench to which I'll also attach my new bench table saw and a router table.
I'm going to install two folding tables to save space when I'm not using my bench, as well as to have more space to work when necessary. I'll also make a sliding carriage for more accurate and comfortable crosscuts.

Where to obtain materials and tools that I use:

Dude, if this is the only thing I build in my lifetime, I will go to Valhalla a worthy warrior! I will certainly be buying the plans to your genius!

Hello friends. let us be grateful to our friend who posted this video sharing knowledge. It doesn't cost anything to like and make a simple comment. It is the least we can do in gratitude for his work. thank you!

This is BY FAR the coolest, most intricate piece I've seen for table saw workbenches!
Absolutely love it, going to purchase the plans. The $25 is well worth it! The amount of work you put into this is mind blowing! Cheers from South Dakota.

Given that, for whatever reason, episode 8 of this build was the first video shown in my recommendations, I had no problem skipping ahead briefly to that video to confirm that he did in fact install all six wheels. That's comforting, because I can tell at a glance just from the sheer amount of weight and stress that this table is going to go through that it's necessary.

This guy doesn't seem like the kind of person to cut corners. Trying to save a few bucks on two other wheels for a several thousand-dollar table is tantamount to buying a $1000 smartphone and not spending $50 - $100 on a shockproof case.

Now that I have confirmed that he absolutely knows what he's doing, I can enjoy the rest of the series.

Thank you for this video series. I bought a portable 10" job site saw for my shop to save space. some time ago. I am planning a cabinet for it in the future. This is a great and very functional idea for the saw and router table station. I will be planning a version of this for my shop as well. Very nice build.

Loved it, going to watch the whole playlist on this.. Love how you put a totally modern twist on centuries old mortise-and-tenon joinery. and use carpenters grade plywood to build it our of.. Wouldn't MDF had been a better choice on this, I know it is more expensive, harder to except screws, but using glue and the "mortise-and-tenon joinery" to attach would make it very strong, very stable (almost no explanation or contraction) & last, virtually for ever.. I can see there must have been at least a hundred hours of thought & planning into it.. I am a retired master carpenter, with 50+ years of work, I was trained by a Amish master for almost 15 years, from age of 10 to 25.. My shop has all the high tech toy's, yet I still do 90% of my joinery with mortise and tenon.. You have earned my subscription.. Sorry I babbled on so much.. Thank you for sharing... It was a joy to watch a very skilled tradesman... Oh also using some HDPE board in some places would also give it extra strength...

Looks you have a persian carpet in your workshop. Some luxury. Only one I saw in years of watching work in workshops.
Loved your design. Waiting for the next build.

An intelligent build, the strength of mortice and tenons without the labour. Thanks very much.
