Hi Ash, another great video, it's good to post some videos from a nursing instructor's point of view, would like to see more collaborations. It is really helpful and would be nice if you can post more, thank you very much!

Great video. I had to laugh though when you said Cs get degrees. Not in my program! We need a B+ to pass our classes 😬

Cs get degrees is what the most seasoned nursing professor I've ever had in school told me

Students wanting to help out and stepping up is great but it feels as though these talks need to be had with staff and floor nurses. Far too often students get their heads torn off for being too aggressive or not wanting the student touching their patients. This practice needs to stop. Especially at teaching hospitals where it is expected that students will be present. Again these talks are great but unless experienced staff nurses hear this the nonsense of nurses eating their young will continue. In the professional world eating their young is cause for termination at most business and is completely unprofessional

Hi Ashley, I love this collab! Just a quick question when doing head-to-toe assessments is it necessary to use the pen light to check for PERRLA for all patients? We learned in nursing school to do the full everything for every patient but in practice it seems that the nurses only do what is relevant. Im just wondering your thoughts?

I’m going into nursing school next year and I really feel like this was awesome to hear and learn before going into

I absolutely love having a great relationship with the nurses on my floor as a patient care tech! I really think that can make or break your shift.

Great video. My pet peeve is students just standing around. Just get in the mix and start doing stuff. You'll learn so much and get to do many procedures, especially when the nurses see your work ethic. Besides when it comes time for a job and they remember you and your work ethic versus a student who stood around or was too good to handle even a bath....who do you think will get the recommendations from the people on the floor for the job..🤷‍♂️

Hello! I have a question. How would you recommend coping with a stressful household (i.e. mother, father, brother, etc.) while attending college for the R.N. Program? What type of coping mechanisms would you recommend? Would the best option be to leave the toxic environment and what to do if that isn’t a possibility at that point in time? Thanks a bunch! 🙏🏻

Do nursing instructors want students to pass?

Question: I am planning on going into nursing school and my children are my motivation. Is it wrong to use them in questions for the school? Example: Both my daughters have been in the NICU. They both have asthma, low muscle tone, asthma, and my eldest has metal disabilities.

This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I just was reaccepted into nursing school after leaving due to health issues. I am so scared to go back to clinical after 6 months working as an LPN in a doctors office

Thank you for this video. I'm starting Nightingale this fall 2023 and I needed to hear from someone who actually went through with their BSN program. I feel a bit comfortable now.

Question:
Does a struggling student barely passing and just making it
Automatically equals a “BAD NURSE”

Man. I felt bad because I got a C in statistics. Hardest C I ever worked for. I got a B in nursing research and evidence based practice because I turned in a paper late. That was my fault. Barely passed clinical because of handing in an assignment late, time and attendance. That whole semester was horrible. I had a heavy course load, but the situation I was in, I didn't really have much of a choice. I would plan much better if I had it to do again. But I'm glad I don't have to do it again. I passed. Thank you God! I learned something.

Love Crosby's accent...however, I do agree with him 100% when it comes to being organize & detail oriented. Moreover, your husband with the baby & his "Penises & Vaginas" hilarious. Wishing you HAPPY HOLIDAYS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...Abrazos.
