One suggestion I would give, if you are using a skill saw to cut the lumber is...instead of using your square to mark the line, mark a small line where you want to cut and hold the square tightly on the wood and run the saw beside it. Makes a perfect cut !

I watched alot of videos looking for a simple door that I can make for the chicken coop I'm building.  My tools are pretty basic but I've done the framing so far, have the roof figured out, and before anything else goes up I want to have the door planned. Great solution for my need. I have a garage that won`t last more than a few more years, and someone hung an interior door on it. Needless to say, it`s falling apart, but I don`t want to spend big bucks on a new one. Thanks for posting this video!
