I’m impressed. I’ve made a few doors in my day. Probably was paid a lot more than this guy. Interesting casing on the jamb. Better reflects the style and rail configuration. Interesting. I’ve not seen that before. I appreciate the amount of work involved there. 👍👍👍

Loved the way you made that door frame. It was simple, with not much hassle. In my country they use wood beams (5"x5") to make the frames. They have to cut the notch so as to make the door fit on it when closed and it takes a lot of trial and error, not to mention time. Also, it makes the frame expensive, unnecessarily thick and heavy, providing very little in over-all strength.
I loved that here, you used what I guess are 1"x5" wood planks to make the frame and screwed it right in the wall and then nailed thin wood strips to make the door sit on it. IMO, I found this method of door framing much easier and cost effective...
