"THE NICENE CREED" Prayer
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Ex Muslim here... learning catholic and waiting for priest to baptize me .. please pray for me that everything will goes well . because in Malaysia if u are Muslim u cannot convert to other religions. Protestant here seeing the beauty of the creeds, and seeing Jesus work and mission fulfilled in the early church— a river runs through it to this day current day. Thank you Catholic Church for being the hands and feet of Christ- not just preserving the faith, but being the place where heaven meets earth by living in the resurrection life.

Finally, and thanks to this video, I’ve memorized the Creed in English at 58 years of age, even though English is not my first language. I started nearly two weeks ago by writing it down on a sheet of paper, but as I progressed, it became quite difficult to continue. That’s when I found this video about 10 days ago. I loved it because it goes slowly and allows me to practice or go ahead, and when I had doubts, I could see the words or repeat the lines when I needed to learn a new prayer. I am extremely happy that, just a few minutes ago, after repeating it multiple times on my own from memory, I now carry in my heart one of the prayers that has had the most impact on my life as a Catholic in Spanish, and now in English.
