Welcome back to the Trick Shift Garage! In this video, we'll be showing you how to properly remove and install your oxygen sensor on our 2007 Altima. This is for the 2.5 Liter engine and it is the downstream sensor after it passes through the catalytic converter. In summary, it's really easy and simple to do! A 7/8" or 22 mm wrench will remove the O2 sensor after removing the electrical connector. If you need help or have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out with a comment, and as always, thanks for watching!

Replacing this Oxygen Sensor SHOULD resolve the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
P0037, P0038, P0057, P0058, P0137, P0138, P0139, P0157, P0158, P0159

Thanks for you video I just failed inspection on our 2010 Nissan Altima because of Code P0420, they told me it could be a 02 sensor didn’t say if it was the front or rear one not really sure what to do.. But I think I’ll just try to replace them both tomorrow morning. Wish me luck! Thanks again for your video brother..

How many O2 sensors does a 2012 nissan Altima have 2.5 liter with California emissions since I'm in California. Love your channel, you've helped me change out my own struts and my axles, thanks so much for your awesome videos

I see you’re very fond of the 2012 model ! Your videos have been very informative for me thank you.

Side question . My mass air flow sensor continues to pop as a problem, however I’ve replaced it a couple times and it can’t be the problem. My rpm’s tend to fluctuate like crazy. When I let go of the accelerator the rpm drops to 800 really fast. Currently now it started to jerk when trying to accelerate past 2k Rpm’s. Have you experienced this ? Thanks again

Have a 2011 rogue SV with manifold cat, no one shows how to get the downstream sensor out. Looks like going from underneath is the way to go but there must be a trick on how to do it

I had the code p0171 and changed the upstream 02 (under the hood). Cleared the codes and drove around. A few days later code p2096 pops up. Would this be the downstream needing to be replaced? I got a new cat and manifold last year so I’m not thinking that’s the problem

Post Catalyst Fuel Trim SYS B1. Is this the same one?

Whats the difference between the upstream and downstream sensor (not talking about a 3rd sensor that CA might require). Arentvthey both the same air fuel ratio sensors?

I have a 2008 2.5s. I got the error code for Bank 1, Sensor 1. Is it in a similar place to the one you're replacing here?

Not sure what you mean. Push the tab IN and down? Pull the tab OUT and down? Pushing down doesn't do anything. It's a tab, so it has to move inward toward the wire harness or out and away. That's kind of a critical component of this who thing because you either push down and break it or pull the tab out when it needs to go in or vice versa.
