Ctrl E - to copy or write the destination of the folder
Alt H V V - to show/hide hidden items

For the pinned items on taskbar.
Windows key + the position of the pinned item.
If the first pinned item is windows explorer. You can press windows + 1 to open it and also customize whether you want to open user profile or home page

Thanks, Leila!

And if you're opening multiple Explorer windows and wanted to organize those, just simply hold down Windows key + left or right arrow key to snap it into place (and even with the up or down arrow immediately after the left/right arrow key (while still holding the Win key) to snap it into a corner to add it to all 4 corners at your preference).

Ctrl L moves you to the location line so you can type in "home" or "downloading" auto complete works with tab.

I believe the middle-wheel-click was my post on a previous video. I'm glad it was useful, nice to see it mentioned in a later video too. Keep up the good work Leila.

Some great tips - it always amazes me that people don't know about middle-click on their mouse, it works in browsers as well! Though I have to say I hate tabs in file explorer as they just don't work for productivity - doesn't make sense if you want to move, copy, compare, or whatever between two folders as you can only see one at once, and you don't get any information about tabs (or the lack of tabs) from the Taskbar and thumbnail preview, making keeping track of them nearly impossible. I honestly wish there was a simple setting to completely disable them.

1) use backspace to move to the previous folder 2) Use F2 to rename a file/folder 3) Ctrl+L to open the file location bar

Bonus tip: the same shortcuts works for internet browsers as well and vice versa.

Thank you so much I was actually looking for opening a new tab for a specific folder. Selecting the file and then pressing mouse wheel was the one for me

Tabs in Windows Explorer is a great feature, but the lack of the full ribbon in windows 11 just bugs me too much. So I use Explorerpatcher to use windows 10 style Windows Explorer.

Most of those TAB shortcuts also work in the *Microsoft Edge* browser, so Windows 10 users have somewhere to join in on the tab shortcut fun.

When I accidentally close a tab..

Ctrl+Shift+T = to open a most recent closed tab.

And I simply prefer a file explorer that always shows 2 windows, with easy navigation and simple buttons to get things done, like copy and move files.
Yes explorer is built in but is still behind other options and the fancy tabs now available don't change that one iota
