China criticises and condemned the negative and horrid aspects of the Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward. China vows not to repeat the mistakes of its past and to develop a better socialist society, a freer society without poverty and with common prosperity. Vietnam did do it better though and have a better history, no? China and Vietnam both have undoubtedly made mistakes and have pros and cons like anything else in existence. China does still engage in censorship and such to an extreme degree.

As a Canadian with Chinese descent, I'm ashamed of China. Obviously, China is a nice place, my whole family comes from there after all... but seeing what the CCP has done to the people... it makes me sad. Also, if you support the Chinese Communist Party, think about the Tiananmen square massacre, the Uyghurs, Hong Kong, Tibet, Taïwan, the censorship, the absence of freedom of speech and religion, the arbitrary arrests, and the list goes on...
