been using Freeze spray for 16 years and just love it..as long as the short is bigger than 300mA or so it will show,
what shits me are the smaller shorts which you cant identify that easily

Freeze spray seems a little dangerous all things considered. Considering all of your shop's other equipment, why not invest in a thermal imaging camera? You can then not only pinpoint a specific hot spot on the board easily by looking at the camera image, you'll be able to see how hot it is and you can also see any other potential hot spots all while avoiding possible freeze spray / moisture damage?

I have an iphone 7 plus and i am convinced that there is a short. After not turning on I replaced the charging port and the battery and still nothing. unfortunately i do not have a power supply like you used or any of the tools really. Will i be able to fix it without them?

Hi Jessa. What tweezers are you using. Amazon link in your description is not working. I'm using hakko chp 3-sa tweezer now and they are not precise enough, but they are very strong and not easily damaged.

This is the first phone I've worked on and I'm just trying to huy tools as and when I can but my psu is cooked so I'm halted until next week when I buy a new psu 🤔do apple build their boards on the same model from time to time differently?

I know my question doesnt has to do much with the actual topic, but I dont know where I can else find help, so im gonna try it here :D

So my front Camera is not working after a screen replacement and I have no clue, what the problem could be since I already tried an new front facetime flex.

Its only the facetime camera, which is not working.The other parts of this flex are working: proximity sensor & earpiece speaker.

Everything else on this iPhone 7 Plus works perfectly fine.

Any suggestions?
