Thank you for keeping the people who actually know how to build a fence employed!

Going to all the effort of putting concrete down and not sinking the post into it??? Why?

If you're going through all that just replace the fence.

As a fence professional we appreciate posts and videos like this so that we get called out to do it properly. This is not how to instal a fence

Congratulations! Now your new wood 8' fence has the strength of an old 3' tall chain link fence.

I would just set the posts in the cement next time, this included all the effort but non of the strength

Those brackets are for attaching posts to preexisting slab or something

Wouldn't cementing the post in place be better.

To all of the people commenting “why is he attaching his posts to his neighbors ? Here is why… IT IS NOT HIS NEIGHBORS FENCE ! Chain link fences are the best but zero privacy. I am going the same with my fence.
I don’t want anyone ripping down the chain and also property lines have been defined with chain link

I replaced cyclone with cedar fence this year. No new holes, no cement.
I purchased new metal fence post (bigger diameter and taller), slid them over existing post. Drilled holes, ran bolds through post so they would not move. I now have cedar fence with metal post and it actually looks really good.

Nice job, next time get some brackets you can wet set in the concrete. Will be better than drilling into concrete that's not fully cured

Little hint that would have made that easier on you put those post brackets with metal bolts in while the concrete was still wet

Building inspector driving by, you guys have a permit for the 8-foot fence for the front yard? No? Looking good, I'll be back next week. Part 2 is a demo video 😅

Always locate utilities first... they don't charge you anything.

Good video I'm going to use those clamps too once I figure out what I will use as fencing over my chainlink

Actually abutting a fence to a fence is illegal in most states. If that's the case for your area the neighbor can sue you and get the fence removed. You have to have a yard of clearance between fences.

Seen similar done on other videos came out pretty good, there’s also support from the metal fence and this way the posts don’t rot from the concrete.

Perfect example of the vlog being a better idea than the project. "Oh, and we'll make a fence"
