13600K HUGE Speed BOOST! Today we take a look at the Intel Core i5 13600K and compare it to the i5 12600K using the same voltages, same RAM speed, and same cooling. Under those conditions I was able to achieve a 5.7Ghz OVERCLOCK using a basic AIR cooler.

*Parts Mentioned:*
EVGA 12GB Geforce RTX 3060 XC

Dont disable e-cores unless you are thermal throttling, e-cores boosts fps in most game and atleast 1% and 0.1% lows for sure. go with 5.4ghz and 4.3ghz instead should work with +0.020mV on air cooler aswell

you MAY have a golden chip - FrameChasers already has a number of chips with good IMCs and very bad ones. did you buy this chip or get it from Intel - because if you did they probably gave you a binned one. people should NOT count on being able to overclock like you have done

As a guy who swears by air cooling (currently nhd15 chromax) my next cpu is going to be from intel. Back when i was looking for new cpu to replace my 4790k and faulty mobo i decided to go with amd. I got x570 mobo and r7 3700x with the idea to upgrade to zen 3 top tier cpu. Year later i got 5950x which indeed had unrivaled multi thread performance and extremely good ipc and single core performance, the only cpu who truly dethroned it in most apps and games was 12900k. Everything would be good if not i had to rma it due to infamous whea 18 errors, buggy bios for each cpu 3700x and 5950x and the worst aspect high temps in gaming and other low load scenarios with air cooling. Currently my 5950x is working well but the low load temp issue is still present and will be as long as i will continue using it. I dont mind high temps in high loads because they are uncommon but high temps in low load scenarios is where i spend majority of my time on my pc and thats the issue so few people mention in reviews, because all they do is go to stress program and test it under stock power limits which in fact runs very cool. But in games its actually super hot architecture, with my stock 5950x i get ~75-85c in games and thats just uncomfortable even if its completely normal behavior of zen 3.

The last amd cpu i used was amd socket A, sempron 2500+ 1.7ghz so you can imagine how long i have been with intel platforms, i dont mind trying something new but for foreseeable future i will stick with intel unless it will stagnate again like it did in 2011-2021 and so it happen i need a new cpu at that time

ak620 is a very strong cooler but I don't think it beats the value that the pa 120 se has at the like, 36 bucks

Migrated from AM5 to 13600kf 😂. Got my phantom gaming z790 yesterday and my OEM sample with score 58 (very middle class silicon) got 5.7 with llc lvl1, kinda same 1.25V under load how this guy is showing. Very helpful video, listen to him, he cooks!

As someone who just picked up a 13600K, a AsRock Z790 and a Phanteks 240 Glacier One T30 Edition… This makes me VERY excited 😍

Great review as always. I'd suggest getting a 7600x or 7700x to test who has the fastest gaming performance XD

Would love to see that compared to an overclocked 7600x, power draw, temps, and all that jazz

unfortunately a lot of reviewers tested the intel with 6400 ram and ryzen with 6000 ram. i agree the cpus have different strengths but we should have the cheapest-best-fastest options in view

13th gen looks an impressive jump up for creators in Photo, video and music production more so than for gamers.

I bought the asrock z690 steel legend for 140$ and still waiting for it to arrive and i appreciate that you showed the part where you tunned the cpu because i have never used an asrock motherboard.

The majority don't touch the bio's. I've fixed many builds over and over again from clients. Most think they can build PCs just by watching YouTube videos.
These chips are very hot I just fixed one last night had to manually adjust voltage and under volt. Great for US hardcore enthusiast, but not for regular folk.

Great video. Could you do more in detailed videos of manual Intel tuning and ddr4 ram tuning as well ? We do not find those content usually.

You need a better game to benchmark in RPCS3, lol. With those CPUs the game is now being bottlenecked by the RSX and PPU (which is why you haven't seen a big difference between both cpus), I recommend something that isn't bottlenecked by those such as RDR or God of War 3 using our wiki settings!

I have a 5.6/4.4 all core p.core/e-core OC with H-T disabled and VT-D disabled at 1.325v (air cooling) I got as low as 1.25v but under duration a system crash can occur when gaming, 1.3v is the minimum, and for the sake of performance 1.325v is just like me adding voltage headroom.

60c max on any core/the package itself

My local MicroCenter is selling a bundle, with the 12900K and an Asus Tuf Z690 motherboard for $420. I'm picking that deal up next week. RIP 9900K!

biggest advantage 13600k has over 12600k is 2x more e cores which makes big difference in multithreading

I didnt see cpu freqs neither at stress nor game tests.

Finally, Elden Ring in a CPU test. Somehow "mainstream" tech channels never feature it. Or I am blind, hehe.
