I found this too! I don't think they offered me a planet though, they just asked me to leave. I couldn't just let those 6 gaia worlds to go to waste! I refused and suddenly all my fleets went missing from the system and all hyperlanes disappeared! When I got back with jump drives a long time later I could not conquer them for some reason though 😞

I’ve gotten stellaris recently, need to learn it so I can go full imperium of man whenever I meet aliens

And once you have jump drives you can even return and get the other 9 Gaia worlds too.

I found this system but way too late into the game, some other empire went thru these events, so sadly I was never able to add Sol X to the Sol System

Take the Gaia world they offer then get jump drive tech and take the system, it’ll re open the hyper lanes and you get a great system.

-Oh, they are pre-ftl, nothing to worry about
-Them having hundreds of thousands of fleet power, 6, let me repeat it, 6 maxxed out gaya worlds and custom hyperplanes. You try to colonize it, next thing you know you yourself get colonized.

I found this too, my empire is a pre-ftl machine intelligence(I completed researching the hyperdrive tech) then found this at first I'm confused why planets disappear then found the system holding all of that planet as I was progressing through the observation, I'm also finishing a anomaly about an artifact, after I finish it, a leviathan that is drawn by it spawn in one of my system and killed my scientist and bubble accompanying the scientist, and of course I waste all my resources as much as I can(well I'm producing more than I can consume) on fleet just to get revenge to that

Hilarious when i make contact with them i have NSC mod and lots of mods so like when we made contact and visit them they just saw a massive flagship escorted by 2 super carriers hover above their tiny planet which i bet is intimidating their race and it has like 15 million fleet power lmao
