An Elder once told me this in a more crass way:

The world stays the same. You just stop caring as much.

I love this lady and i dont mean to sound condescending but i am so proud of her. She has been thru alot and i completely admire her.❤

I would tell my younger self to stop messing around and focus on the things that actually matter.

I realized hard times don’t stop, another one end up showing up, my goal always is too get through it. Sometimes going thru it is real hard. But facing and moving forward is much better than avoiding. Avoiding it just takes longer.

I would also tell myself to get away from controlling Narcissists ASAP because they will Never Change or get better! Self Preservation!

Eventually your ability to cope can start to break down, leaving you feeling empty and numb.

Nothing really changes except that your senses are gradually dulled down as you age so you feel less pain, less anxiety, less anger when people say/do hurtful things.. this is all great but you also lose creativity and sensitivity.

The exchange is welcomed when you are a hyper sensitive person and life is too painful. I studied art but I still would trade creativity to feel less.. everything.

Actually, I got weaker and more terrified for the world.

My ability to cope was better when i was younger. Before i had to start trying to explain how and was broken down by the world and myself

It’s amazing to learn just because this episode that I am what I am bc being the first of six close in a row siblings, my parents gave me a lot of responsabilities before the regular age to assume them and I felt detached and independent before my time. A kind of double edged sword. Good and bad at the same time. Advantages and disadvantages, moulding myself…Thanks for letting me know..past my 60’s…

Man, your belief in this world, that's media driven is AMAZING to me and heartbreaking too. 😢 The World holds WAY MORE beautiful places and people, than ruined ones. Yes, I have lived 59 years and being a teacher, I tried to explain world and local events to my students. BUT, in the end, I believe in my Life Experiences SHOULD mean more than the news. ❤ People are mostly kind and helpful, to strangers and neighbors. Mr. Roger's didn't GET a lot of press, but he saved my Soul, during several years of unaddressed bullying as a child. 🤷‍♀️ I would tell my younger self, to keep going and KEEP fighting for the planet!! 🎉 The World, MY World is getting better every moment, BECAUSE I became part of the solution. Aho ✨️🙏💞🌈😇🌎🕊

Basically the world doesn’t get better, but you do. And you are part of this world.

I always hated those people who would say to me (and everyone) "It gets better." And then it never did. People don't magically get mature, just because they leave high school. Some people just get worse, honestly. You don't magically have friends. People at work can be just as awful as the meanest of mean kids.

But, you can learn how not to let everyone bother you. You can work to buy yourself quiet spaces. Spaces to get away from the people who mean you harm. You get to choose life for yourself.

I always believed that there's always suffering and it doesn't get better. You get better.
Thank you for this.

I will definitely play this video everyday!!!
