I met Buddy Ebson about 40 years ago. He came to a regatta with his big catamaran sailboat at our harbor. We talked about his boat and its unique qualities. He was a reserved and quiet man, and very tall!

I enjoyed watching the Beverly Hillbillies growing up. They were all great actors and they played their roles well. I enjoy watching the reruns as well. They will always be remembered

Irene actually quite "The Beverly Hillbillies" when she was offered the role of Berta in the brand new Broadway Musical "Pippin", and had just finished her showstopping number "In Just No Time At All", and exited the stage when she collapsed. She never recovered. And the evening she passed away, she was honored when all of the Broadway theaters halted their shows & dimmed their lights in her memory.
Irene Ryan was an amazing & talented woman. And, I cried like a baby when Walter Cronkite anmounced her death on a special report.
