The gist of what I got out of this is, Instead of focusing on trying to limit the shaking (External/Internal Stressors) focus on trying to limit the amount of water (Distress) in the bottle by emptying out the water yourself (Therapy / Coping Mechanisms, etc...) instead of allowing the water (Distress) to reach the top (boiling point) and let the shaking (Stressor) be the reason for the water spilling over....

Dr. Logan has such a wonderful way of explaining things! Even the most difficult concepts seem doable once unpacked by him! Keep the great videos coming!

I've seen a similar example in which a water balloon is used.... Each breath in is a stressor. A Eustress Stressor allows water OUT while a Distress Stressor allows water IN... If water is routinely let out, the balloon can expand and contract as needed, even going back to its original deflated state. However, Each balloon has a predetermined threshold limit of elasticity. Once so much water (Distress) has entered the balloon that the balloon is brought to the very limit of it's predetermined threshold tolerance, even the smallest drop of water (Stressor) is enough to cause the balloon to surpass the threshold, BURST, and IMMEDIATELY allow all of the water inside the balloon to be released at once! Much like a flood caused by a breach in a Dam destroys entire villages, the flood of built up stress being released all at once can destroy a person's life and even go so far as to destroy a person's entire family!
