The M4 carbine is a 5.56×45mm NATO, gas-operated, magazine-fed, carbine developed in the United States during the 1980s. It is a shortened version of the M16A2. The M4 is extensively used by the United States Armed Forces, with decisions to largely replace the M16 rifle in United States Army (starting 2010) and United States Marine Corps (USMC) (starting 2016) combat units as the primary infantry weapon and service rifle.

This is so insanely fascinating. I really like the slowmotion. Playing it on x0.75 speed to study each part. I feel like a kid again.

Some of y’all in the comments section were never in the military. Having some dirt in the muzzle, yes the muzzle, will not affect the actual firing of the weapon. Granted, it’s not a good look, but the weapon will still fire. As long as dirt/sand doesn’t get into the chamber because the small particles will affect the mechanism of action of the bolt.
