Here are the best budgeting apps for 2024. With Mint shutting down, I've done lots of research and re-evaluated my favorite budgeting apps.

Group Coaching:

Other apps worth mentioning:
Simplifi - $47.88/year (currently offering a deal at $24/year)
App designed by Quicken, but meant as a personal finance app. Like it's name it is simple to use. It lets you track your money, link your accounts, manage your budget, investments, and bills. It does not let you pay bills or track your net worth and credit score.

Monarch Money - $99/year
More complex financial view. Links to your accounts, lets you budget, rolls over your budget, create custom transaction rules. You can collaborate with others in your house at no extra cost - everyone you invite gets there own login, but will have full access to your account.

CountAbount - $9.99/year or 39.99/year
This is great for importing transactions from mint.

Love someone that has used the apps vs. just reading from the App Store.

Thank you. I miss Mint :( Credit Karma feels like I'm carrying a dinosaur from the old times.

thanks for the great video!! I'm still a bit unsure which of these is the most comparable to mint in terms of adding and seeing different categories

YNAB not asking for your credit card before starting trial is a good sign. I will check it out. Thank you

I've had YNAB for a couple years and the bugs in the system have only gotten worse over time... found this video while looking for alternatives. Thanks for all the info!

Thanks for this information. Which app would you suggest for self-employed individuals?

Thank you for your work putting this together. Question. Can you upload data to the free version of EveryDollar if you have downloaded it, or do you have to manually add each and every line?

Ynab is my favorite. But I have to find something new because all my banks are dropping Plaid support for security reasons

I used Mint for a few years and liked it but now I'm finding it difficult to locate a free or low-cost budgeting app that links to my Canadian bank accounts

None of these are available in Europe. Could you do international apps? Thank you! ♥️

Is there a budgeting app that has settings to ping your phone when a transaction hits whichever account was used, asking you to confirm the budget category it should go in?

Hello! Thank you for sharing this. Could you please share your thoughts behind Empower v/s Monarch Money? If cost was not a consideration (since Empower is free) which app would be better?

ynab vs monarch money... from your video, it sounds like ynab would be a good fit given variable incomes and other features you mention, however, I do hear it is complicated to get going is monarch money better or the same regarding ease of use/setup?

thanks :)

Is there any way to add property value as part of net worth to Empower? I'm looking for a smartphone app that I can check bank and portfolio transactions, and net worth that includes property, all on one page. I don't want a budget, saving goals, spending alerts, categories, credit score or any other 'helpful' tools thank you. Mint was perfect for this. Any ideas for a low cost alternative?

Hey I seen the last one you said is better for people with inconsistent checks (I’m commission based) mine changes every check so is there any free ones like that one? Or are there others that are good for this?
