Before anything, understand how many calories you are eating daily. Take a food diary for a week, then take the average.

I find eating very difficult as I gain weight very easily. 1.5 lbs a week. I'm eating 850 calories a day, on a worse day its 230. I gained weight most of the 4 days. I assume my body is able to adapt to virtually no calories. I'm waking too early and sleep deprived which will make the weight gain even worse. Does this mean I will burn only 850 calories for the rest of my life? I can't simply choose to gain weight as I'm prediabetic. For a year I've watched my weight increase or stay static despite a 1200 calorie diet and 10000 steps. I'm burning nothing. A metabolic test highlighted that I burn 157 cal every 30 mins of moderate exercise so I'd have to run around an hour each day along with a 1200 calorie diet. Its very demotivating.

I never lost weight after eating 1200 calories and doing steady state cardio for three hours a day. The same 5 pounds I would lose doing this for almost a year would come back as soon as I eat a slice of pizza, and go away. Nothing changed. Now I’ve gained 8 pounds going back to eating 1500 to 1600 cal. I don’t know what to do anymore.

what is high protein? How many grams? And if my measured RMR is 1276 and my 'Sedentary' TDEE is 1404 and I want to lose bodyfat and gain a little muscle what are my macros in grams? I prefer low carb and high protein. I do Caroline Girvan workout 5 days a week with 10# weights. Female. 52yo, 30% body fat @ 132# and need to get to 117ish pounds by May 4th HELP!! I look lean but I'm SkinnyFat (vegetarian too long- sarcopenia) I eat meat now! And I prefer to eat just twice a day.
