Bows have changed a lot since my Boy Scout days, it really looks fun. Unfortunately my shoulders are gone, but I've been interested in crossbows. Just for hobby target shooting. I think it would be a fun thing to do out camping. Thanks for the info.

Perfect timing I just got my first recurve bow!

I have two recurves and some homemade experimental bows, but never got into the compound game because of cost. That thing looks like a steal at that price.

I've been shooting bow for over 40 years. Hands down the best deal is to wait for cabela's black out intrigue (made by bear) to go on sale (black Friday or this time of year)...a lot of times you can get for ≈240ish with all the sales included...that bow is pretty amazing.
That said, this bow looks like and exact copy of the blackout.

I was watching a video on survival takedown bows when your video popped up lol

Cool review. I don't know anything about compound bows, but looks like a lot of moving parts that could breakdown. So as a survival bow I think I would stick with a simple recurve. Since getting replacement parts could be an issue. But looks like fun to play with.

Im a pretty decent archer. I can hit accuratly up to 40 feet or so(within 3-6in everytime) and i only use traditional recurve bows. I think you're struggling because you throws knives, shoot blowdarts, and use slingshots. All of those are primal, instinctive ways of shooting. Sure there are ways to aim, but most of it is by feel. I tried a compound once and couldnt hit targets 10 feet away. They're all mechanical and are more closly related to crossbows and firearms. Just my two cents, thanks for the upload man

I bow hunt occasionally , it looks like your draw length is longer than what the bow is set at.

If you got a local bow shop. get a little advice and let them help you set it up . If the rest, d loop and timeing is off you will never get a repeatable shot.

1. Your arrow rest is mounted backwards. It should be rear facing not front facing.
2. Keep bow gripped lightly seated against pads of hand.
3. Keep bow perfectly vertical. It's not a recurve.
4. Talk to an archery shop about different types of releases to suit you personally and also have them tune your bow. You will enjoy success and accuracy with the bow properly tuned and sighted in.

Just watched a video about prison weapons. Dude made a crossbow with salad tongs, toothbrushes and rubber gloves, fired accurately 40 feet. Now in the prison museum. I like your idea much better.

Watch some Tim Wells videos, you will not believe it and he doesn't use sights.

You are also gripping the bow that will torque it and make you shoot to the left

you have you stabilizer in the wrong spot it goes on the front as your main stabilizer

I know absolutely nothing about archery.

Why does that string look so frayed?
Is that normal?
