Purely depends on the lie. The only time i ever go toe down is when the ball i slightly plugged or in a divet

I use my 7 iron close, 8 or 9 if I need more loft...can't remember where I heard that 😂 fyi... my short game is better than the 3 guys I play that have been playing 30 years more than me lol
