This video shows you how to install a new ABS wheel speed sensor for your 1997-2003 Ford F-150. ABS wheel speed sensors are critical to the operation of your vehicle's ABS and ESC systems, which use real time wheel speed data to ensure your vehicle stays safe and on the road. These magnetic sensors are sensitive and susceptible to damage, which would require replacing them.

This repair was done on a 2003 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.4L Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
1997 Ford F-150
1998 Ford F-150
1999 Ford F-150
2000 Ford F-150
2001 Ford F-150
2002 Ford F-150
2003 Ford F-150

Tools you will need:
• Pocket Screwdriver
• 18mm Socket
• 21mm Socket

Thanks for the videos! They are super helpful. The washer was missing on my 97 F-150 front right wheel sensor. Should the 97s also have a washer and if so, how do I source a new one? Thanks!

Would this part and procedure be the same on a 2wd 1999 F150?
