One of the big mysteries behind Stonehenge, the Neolithic wonder in southern England, has finally been solved: where do the giant stones come from? Using X-rays to analyse the composition of the rocks, scientists have now determined the location.

just a thought: to transport (from today's Wales?) it's possible that they've used domesticated Aurochs and/or Mammoths on the sort of solid sleds, during the winter of course...

It's so old that much of that geochemistry is dated. But, those trace amounts just might be enough.
