We were held back. A lot of catastrophe has happened in history that 'slowed the progress' of humanity, or rather, erased some events and knowledge that became lost history. I still think it's interesting that some of these structures have been dated by inscriptions. Mediocre inscriptions on PERFECTLY cut and polished stone are not an indicator of when it was built. The world look completely different during the last ice age there wasn't very much of the earth that was open so everything follows an area around the equator in the what the 33rd parallel somewhere around there and there's a lot less water so everything was pretty much connected you got to look at the old maps and old geography to get a concept of what was going on at that time of the world and they're a lot more advanced and they give them credit for a lot more

The fact penguins that are always on the earths Ice shelves away from humans their descendants for years will naturally greet any humans they see as if you're apart of their race in their language and body language.
