Thank you so much for this. The auto sync seems to work for me all the time and you have saved me loads of time compared to trying to match all the spikes manually!

Dude, you are a life saver. I needed this video, it's two years after you recorded it and yet it is going to make a major inpace on my channel. Thank you so much.

Thanks for tips. I will be using my iPad to do most of my editing, and processing. I have an external mic that I’ll be using for sound, and a Sony A5100 for my video. So I needed to see exactly how to get started on making sure I had good recording and how to get them synced up with the two separate sources.
What recording app would you recommend for the iPad?

Omg! Thanks so much! I’m new in pro presenter and editing and just realized you can sync. I’ve been recording from two cameras from different angles and it’s been hell trying to sync both videos to one audio. This will save me precious time!

This is, by far, the best practical explanation of audio sync. Great job and thank you!

I've always synced manually, so this is a HUGE help. Thank you!

High this is a wonderful video. I have a question. I am recording with my synth plugged into the field recorder which disables the mics. How would I then sync a clap to the video. Just through sound wavelengths?

Thank you, Dunna ! I was searching exactly for such tips, because I am new and I was wondering if I should use the internal camera audio recording exactly for synchronizing, or leave the video only. Now I know thank to you, Sir !

Planning to run a Zoom H5, using (2) Rode XLR+ adapters with lav microphones plugged into them. (1) microphone will be ran to the exhaust of my car and the other to the intake. I will be recording video from in-cabon with a GoPro Hero5. Goal is to tune the sensitivity of the microphones using the knobs on the Zoom so i can avoid peaking the microphones, which was happening when running the microphones directly to the GoPro.

What would be the best process for deploying audio markers, when i'm at the track and hit record on both the Zoom and GoPro, making it easier to sync the files (1 in-cabin using the Zoom Mics, then 2 separate audio files which will be the engine bay and exhaust)?

Lastly, this will be my first time attempting to sync video/audio (Last time was with Vegas Video 7 when i was super young) and am wondering if Premiere Pro would be what you recommend?

Let me know if there's anything issue/concern wise with the setup. I don't think i need to have the Phantom power on with the Lav Microphones (Olympus ME-51S x2), but am not totally sure. I know the XLR+ reduces the power from 48v -> 4v? or something like that, right?

Will also be my first time using a audio recorder, ever.

I have been using the multi camera sequence to do this. I did not realize you can simply do it in the timeline. Thank you! Huge time saver.
