Max Tegmark - Do Multiple Universes Surely Exist?

I not only value the ideas, thoughts, theories, and best guessed explanations of concepts within mr tegmark's field but i also like his humbled yet resolute approach on consciousness. The mere fact that he doesn't throw it out as unimportant or have the arrogant stance that it's almost figured out makes him even more respectable. He seems like a nice, likable dude too.

So, the answer is no, we don't know if there are other universes. This is pure especulation...

Level 5 multiverse: ill go one step further and say why not wipe out math itself and say the level V/5 multiverse contains multiverses that don't run on math or physics but something completely different and unknown to us. They would have totally alien concepts, Weird logic, Impossible features and in general just a completely crazy way to exist physically.

At one level it seems somewhat odd to me that, given the degree to which theoretical physics is almost a purely mathematical field, highly intelligent specialists can differ so profoundly in their opinions. Take, for example, yourself (and many others) on one side and Steinhardt and Turok on the other. My understanding is they deny not only multiverse models, but inflation (despite Steinhardts early contributions). I understand there is some room for alternate models...but still. Any thoughts?

A separate question: if we take the Many Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics seriously, what is the correct way of understanding reality: at every moment we have an infinite number of universes (the multiverse) splitting into multiple branches OR at every moment our (single) universe splits into multiple universe *inside* the already infinite number of universes that is the multiverse? Thanks!

Heres the mind blowing conclusion.. we might never be able to define our universe simply becuase we are inside it .. but we may infact be able to descibe some one elses .. thus we would infact have the awaners for them and quite possibly they for us .. if croas universe cominications ever become reality

He is proposing not only that mathematics is discovered in the universe, but that the universe is a mathematical structure which when we find it, will be the theory of everything. Every other mathematical structure governs another completely separate universe
