Slow Cooker Mississippi Chicken

Ingredients:
6 Chicken Thighs (Boneless Skinless)
1 Packet Ranch Seasoning/Dressing Mix
1 Packet Au Jus Gravy Mix
1 Medium Onion (chopped)
1 Small Jar Pepperoncini Peppers + ( ¼ cup juice)
1 Stick Butter (sliced into 6 – 8 pieces)

Directions:
Pre-grease the Crockpot or use a liner.

Place the chicken in a crockpot/slow cooker. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and Au Jus gravy mix over the top of the chicken. Add in chopped onions. Then place the slices of butter and about 8 - 12 pepperoncini peppers on top. Pour ¼ cup pepperoncini juice in the bottom of the crockpot/slow cooker (no additional water or broth is needed).

Cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the internal temp reaches 170 degrees.

Serve on a bed of rice, and spoon some of the au jus sauce on top.

My wife made this yesterday & I liked it so much that I stopped by the grocery store on the way to see my mom & made it again for her! I told my wife I could eat this dish once a week but I guess it's twice! Thank you ladies for such a wonderful dish packed full of flavor! ❤

My family loves this recipe. Thank you for the tip to use only half packet of an juice to cut down the salt. Next time I'm trying diced onion my recipe calls for one package of Lipton onion soup/dip. It's definitely thumbs up with us!

Great recipe, everytime that I use a crock pot I use a cooking bag for easy clean up
And I always add baby carrots and either regulat potatoes or small organic ones :)

I'm such a dork, I was trying to figure out where the music was coming from, then realized it was on your show! I love chicken thighs, and can't wait to try it! We just did the deep fried corn with the stuffed cube steak and it was the best!!!

I have been making this dish for a couple of years now. I started with the Slow Cooker Mississippi Pot Roast recipe, and experimented with a pork tenderloin and then used chicken breasts the third time. The only difference is that the pot roast recipe calls for Lipton Onion Soup Mix instead of the Au Ju Gravy Mix. It is delicious with any cut of meat! I'm going to try it with the gravy mix next time; I'm sure it is just as delicious!! As someone else commented, adding carrots or other fresh vegetables is super yummy too! It's great served over mashed potatoes as well.
