Spot on! It is disheartening to hear negative remarks about international students from Filipinos who are now citizens here, particularly when many are genuinely dedicated to their studies and striving to build better futures for themselves and their families. Majority of my Filipino classmates are not only skilled and educated but also deeply committed to their academic success, having traveled across the world to pursue opportunities in Canada, motivated by the desire to improve their lives and support their families back in the Philippines. When some Filipinos who are now citizens here express frustration about international students, it often overlooks the hard work and sacrifices these individuals have made to contribute to their new community, as it would be more constructive to celebrate the diverse perspectives and talents that international students bring to Canada. They were once in our shoes as immigrants. International students entered Canada legally, and spent millions to be here.

Mahirap talaga ngayon ang economy ng Canada compared 10 yrs ago. I’m 15 yrs here. It’s totally different. Kung maganda buhay sa pinas then stay. Kung 40 yrs old plus na mahirap mag adjust dito
