When their fellow India born Canadians who have been here longer are saying it's been too much, you know it's a big problem.

There are 2 reasons behind bringing in so many international students.
1. Greed of universities and colleges so they can charge them an exorbitant amount of fees and make billions. (International Students pay 3 times the fees compared to a canadian citizen)
2. Prop up the prices of the real estate market which is already in a bubble to avoid prices from collapsing.

Canada seriously needs a country cap for immigration, like the US does. In 2023, there were 139k new permanent residents from India, compared to the second largest which was china at 31k. This is not normal

It’s a musing, that these two women have more insight into the problems of Canada than the entire Parliament of the country. Perhaps we should get them to run the country…

Ladies, I love the way you guys take turns to speak. It breaks the monotony of listening to one voice which is common with most Youtubers & we dont really mind the Russian accent. You guys also make use of relevant newsclips & data to support your arguments. Truly love your channel which also had loads of sensible arguments. Good job ladies!

The "Pros/Cons" part of the video lacks granularity (i.e. no one is arguing that we reduce immigration without also addressing supply-side housing solutions) - but the closing sentiments seem on point:

"if you come to the country and believe you should be handed everything on a silver platter - all without learning the language or local norms: you don't deserve to be here".

- I think this is what most Canadians are agreeing with when asked in recent polls.

Just like the old saying goes, “a rotten apple spoils the barrel.” Bad policies brought undesirable immigrants here who literally destroyed the path to permanent residency to many great immigrants who would make a difference to this country.

Without his family name, Trudeau Jr would just be bumping around from job to job. He has not inherited a smidgen of his father’s intellect or stature. Well, when we have. P.M. who proudly announced that ‘the Budget will balance itself’, and that ‘Budget deficit is just a number ie. not something to be concerned about’, do we really expect anything good to come from his fiscal or social policies! The people who voted him in 3 times deserves what they are getting. Unfortunately, we are the collateral damage of their stupid trust in this clown!

The problem is not with immigration but not having balanced immigration because you know there's huge corruption in the system when high percentage of immigrants are cheap labour with international students and temp foreign workers program from mostly India.

It's disgusting that it's displacing Canadians and having blatant discrimination by hiring only Indians at almost every corner. These businesses and the government need to be taken to court for enabling such racist discrimination against Canadians.

People are delusional if you think immigrants will flow to the less populated areas… I live in Vancouver… Do you really think the Asians here will put up with living anywhere else? I lived many years in Asia and the people there want to live among their own kind… Chinese with Chinese as here in Richmond… Punjab with Punjabi as in Surrey… that will never change… Especially in a multicultural society like Canada, where assimilation is actively discouraged.

Our universities have been flooded with foreign students ... Our Canadian children are being denied university seats because of this

Please get jobs at the CBC or in politics, YOU are what this country needs. What determined intellectual clarity and moral fortitude. If people like you leave this country I'm packing my bags.

I love Canada, came here with hope to get a better life, I came here a year and half ago studying biotechnology sadly I don't think Canada is suitable for life anymore, I have never got a job no matter how hard I try ! I have applied for over a 2000+ jobs, I got rejected by dishwasher jobs ! I have over 7 years of logistics and warehouse experience in addition to bachelor in medical laboratory technology with near 3 years experience in lab which is " supposed to be in very high demand", so I think I will pull the plug and go back home after this semester, if I can't get a job as a dishwasher how can I get jobs in biotechnology field ! going back home empty handed even tho I haven't and will not complete my studies is a bumber but I believe it will be a better choice for me, I appreciate my time here and wish it gets better for the people who live here.

Put a percentage cap on countries that immigration comes from. There is no way one area should have 50% immigration to Canada. Cap it at 10 or 20% per country

Coming here has been rough, to say the least. On one hand, you see employers exploiting immigrants for cheap labor, and on the other, the government appears to allow immigration without adequate oversight. Now, I’m witnessing people with PhDs being denied the opportunity for permanent residency because someone, three years ago, abused the system by enrolling in an English graduate program and obtaining PR without even completing it. Immigrants are often victims of poor policy. Not everyone had access to quality education before arriving here, and it feels disheartening. Most people come with postgraduate degrees, yet their English is criticized— by people who barely speak one language, that’s harsh, being denied job opportunities while being super overqualified because of a lack of "Canadian labor experience" its just an excuse, my wife worked with multiple international projects, managed multiple offices back in our home country, and she has way more experience than like 50% of the people around her, yet, it took her almost 2 years to get an entry job as an Admin, while having more experience an actual University degree and being more professional integrity than her supervisors and peers. Inmigration it's supposed to be hard, but this is abuse and exploitation, but hey, let's blame everything bad happening in Canada to immigrants, best scapegoat ever.

Hello Anna and Anastasia your channel is truly a hidden gem full of useful information and insight. I am an international student myself and I agree with all your points in the video, Canada used immigration to fix a deeper problem and that is its difficulty to incentivize the economy by having a heavily regulated environment, high taxes and low productivity. It will definitely alleviate some of the pressure on the system but, the real cause is still there. The first sector that is going to be affected will be the education as colleges and universities became over reliant with the revenue coming from Int. Students (which is not particularly small) and institution will need to adapt. When I first came here I fell in love with the country and I really feel fortunate to enjoy this beautiful place and doing everything to assimilate and integrate myself into the culture. I think here you can have a sense of hope of things improving in the future (something that is not the case in my home country) but if they do not fix the underlying problem it does not matter how much immigration they reduce, Canadians will not see a significant improvement. Keep the awesome work!!!
