A new article/video from Strengtheory always makes me excited. No one makes me think and re-evaluate things quite like you. Thank you Greg!

But if you grow your hams and calves you can use them as a biological trampoline at the bottom. Natures squat suit.

I like to learn the science behind this stuff because I feel it helps me PR effectively and safely. This was a bit science-y for me (my fault for not being well studied :P).

Maybe have a whiteboard next time and do some simple illustrations? :D

Ty for contribution to fitness community tho!

This is great. Really learnt a lot from all your articles and video!

But seriously we need to put more funding into understanding the really important stuff like Beard Epicness as a indicator of Squat performance.

Love the video. The very last point you made about weaknesses is probably one of my favorite topics. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Great video! I'm going to read the article now. I'd like to see a video on hamstring involvement during deadlifts.

Great video. As someone that deals a lot with scientific articles in real life (though mainly related to other sciences), I really enjoy learning about these studies bringing more scientific information into the lifting world.

Great video! I have alway wondered why  so much emphasis is placed on the hamstrings as a primary mover of the deadlift. If Knee extension is occurring simultaneously with hip extension in the deadlift, why is the hamstring and hamstring work such as stiff legs made to be such a big player? Logically wouldn't it  make sense that knee extension provided by the quads and hip extension by the glutes would be the primary movers of the deadlift? Speaking from experience I certainly feel my hamstrings and glutes fire more than quads, but when I sit back and think I wonder why the quads aren't talked about much in the deadlift when they are extending the knee and no knee flexion is occurring? Great videos by the way!

Also I believe I read a study for Hamstring activation (EMG) in the squat for all knee angles and its barley used at all, at least compared to the quads. Great video Greg!

I just love content like this. Thanks!

Why are front squats weaker than back squats if we want as little hip extension and more quad dominance in a squat? How does hip extensions even help a squat since it is about just going up and down?

Thank you for an incredibly informative article and video. You mentioned strengthening our glutes in order to ameliorate hamstring activation, What exercises do you recommend and intensity?

Do you intend to put out some non-lifting info in the future?  A primer on the basics of beer would be amazing
