I have 2 friends that have left working for cps becausse of all the wrong doing, and a friend that was the lawyer for cps and quit due to the lies ect.

I'm thrilled to hear that some cases get immediate attention when they're in immediate danger. It's so important to report abuse when known.
I was a mandated reporter when I was a social worker for adults & heard horror stories of children who were abused in private where no one reported or intervened - I met them as adults. I'm glad that's changing so that less children will grow up in homes of physical abuse, drug/alcohol addiction, or unsafe situations.

Cps has more power than the police. I was removed from my mom in the 90’s because she smoked weed. I was abused severely in 3 out of the 7 foster homes I was in before aging out at 18.

They never once tried to help my daughter. All they did was take my grandbabies. Gave me guardianship and forced my daughter to live on the streets till this is over. No they don't comfort the kids. They just cause trauma in seperating the kids from their mom's and family

A judge is not usually involved in the initial decision to remove a child. That decision is made by the social worker and the social worker alone. Later the worker will apply to the court for an apprehension order but the parents don’t get told about that or when it is and have no right to speak to the judge then. The judge makes the decision about that order based solely on the information provided by the social worker, often over the phone and no even in person. Of course the judge will grant the order when that’s all they hear. Many children DO need to be removed but social services also has a sordid history of wrongful removals.

Very true that many people’s concept of child abuse is kids getting a spanking or getting yelled at and that every child who’s parent isn’t perfect is better off in a foster home. It’s some really scary stuff.

They've knocked on my door twice over my son getting his butt whooped for obviously something serious enough to warrant a spanking which i very very rarely do.

When these clowns come to your door, even in the presence of a police officer you DO NOT have to let them in unless they have a warrant.

These people hurt more than they help, unfortunately theres some really shitty people who hurt kids, but this organization profits and has absolutely no oversight.on top of that its all in family court which requires no actual evidence the can use heresay or preponderance as evidence.
As with dealing with any government intrusion into your home and life lawyer up and say nothing. The stakes here are what is most valuable to anyone

Most of the time, these people attack & beat families down.
Very far & in-between do you find a good cys caseworker.
& they seem to choose the wrong families to harass with their "assistance".
If youre a parent that isnt doing any wrong, dont forget your rights!!

Plus case workers dont need a degree anywhere close to what u need to actualy be a real social worker/threapist.... Thw department teains rhem in 2 weeks or a month....its disgusting.

Bull crap your priority is taking kids yes some families need intervention but some that you get after dont need it I've seen you get after a family cause there son wore a pink shirt forreal that's crazy you all harrass people stop harassing and trying to take kids for stupid reasons go harrass the people that really need it but you dont so many kids dont get help that need it cause your busy bothering the ones that don't get your priorities straight hard job makes me sick
