People that are unwilling to answer questions should be removed from proposal pools. This woman knew the answer but evaded to provide it to the senator several times, it should be automatic removal. Transparency should be standard when questioned. There is no reason to hire anyone ready to hide the truth when questioned.

In a REAL court of law, if a witness evades or otherwise does not answer a direct question, they can and should be charged with contempt of court. Jail or fine for doing so. Our politicians (both parties) should be held to those standards. And in Congressional hearings, they should be excluded from whatever position they have been nominated for. The only way we'll get the best of the bunch. We need to exclude lying criminals.
