Join me as I unveil my brand-new 2024-2025 Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin DCT with electronic suspension , 21 inch front wheel and share everything you need to know about this incredible adventure bike. In this video, I answer your most asked questions, compare it with top contenders like the BMW GS 1300 and Ducati Multistrada, and explain why I opted for the 21-inch front wheel over the 19-inch 2025 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports model.

I’ll dive into detailed features and my personal options, including the benefits of the DCT system, how the electronic suspension performs, and why the Africa Twin stands out in the world of adventure bikes. Whether you're considering a new adventure bike or just curious about this iconic machine, this video is packed with insights and information! Cars and trucks went from manual too automatic during my lifetime! This is a natural progression of technology !!! Auto is great for urban and Hwy driving! Just get rid of the heavy weight, my check is ready to write $$$$ 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I confirm DCT is absolutely great, no one can shift as fast as DCT. I.’m riding bike for more than 40 year, so shifting gear is very completely natural, but nevertheless DCT really frees up my mind so 14:40 I can put more attention to pickup my best line in the twisties. Very relax ride 👍

Love my 2016 AT DCT with 34, xxx miles. It’s my 37 bike in the past 49 years of riding. I solo camp, ride dirt and logging roads in Oregon; done some BDR’s. Dropped it a few times in the middle of nowhere by myself (I now carry a moto-jack) 😂. It honestly takes a good month of riding with the DCT to understand and maximize its potential.

This year, I bought an AT DCT. And what a bike! Coming from a CBR600RR, this motorcycle can handle anything. The only regret I have is not buying it sooner. 😃
Smokey, you're absolutely right, and best of luck with the channel!

It's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow smokey!

I’m looking at getting a 2025 AT Adventure Sports when they come out next year. You and others have made a great argument about the advantages of DCT. I was a little against it at first but those who have tried it say it’s incredible. I like the idea of having a manual shift option with the paddles so it’s there if you want it.
I have a Triumph T120 that I will keep also. Thanks for the great information!! Cheers from New York and best of luck.

Content aside (and it’s great) you’re a pretty funny guy and your videos are very entertaining and informative. I wanted to mention it because I’m sure you wanted to know what I thought considering my opinion matters to absolutely nobody. My own wife doesn’t ask what I think about things.

I'm with you regarding the 21" front wheel. I prefer them and, as you say, they're far better with obstacles.

Also, yes, the really powerful bikes are unnecessarily powerful. The KTM 890AR is my ideal bike - it'll give the bigger bikes a run for their money on the twisty mountain roads.

Good vids. Very entertaining. Thanks.

Amazing video man!
I always thought I'm not enough old to drive duct on car, but never even thought on bike.
But you make me think about it.
Still not sure if is my cup of tea, but I'll give it a chance... definitely.

8:27 I thought I was alone and had mental issues. I now feel so proud pressing the button. It'll make riding my scooter feel like an african twin.

I have 2007 KTM 950SM in mint condition. Serviced by official mechanic every year.
I tried many motorcycles last year. I had in mind selling my 950 and getting something new.
I was aiming for husqvarna norder 901, tried it, didint like it, it just did not feel right.
Tried 790adv and 890adv, i liked them better than 901, but still they feel cheap made in contrast to my 950SM.
I tried 1290adv and 1290adv r. They ride like my SM, a lot of grunt, around the same until 100-120kmh, after that 1390 kills it on the road.
But i dont need that.
I tried 1300gs, yes it feels like sitting in the clouds, but boring to drive. Also too much $$$ to give for a bike.
So I decided to do a full dissasembly and service of the engine and replace what ever can be replaced on my 950 at 80.000km, turns out the engine is in perfect condition.
Old 950SM feels better to ride than any of these bikes. And they are not much of an upgrade over it. (mechanical clutch? ughhh).

But I yet have to try honda DCT. Maybe I will like it.

Smokey the “flash” you get on German roads is a great speeding ticket indicator. I got a picture of myself and I mean a CLEAR picture of myself…. Literally through the windshield while responding to a radio call while working as a Military Policeman in Bad Hersfeld Germany. I was “presented” with it by our Desk Sergeant and interpreter.

Agree, the feeling the "emotions" that the AT gives are incomparable.
Its more than just a new "bike".

AWESOME STUFF.... I understand you. Excellent bike. No arguments with any of your reasons as I agree with When this bike first came out.... some years I ripped it around the beautiful streets of Bangkok like a Huper super moto in heat for the first time and was incredibly impressed with yap... really liked it... for a... chain driven bike 😅.... but... I sure would love to see someone pop on so Shinko or TKC s on the... Stelvio with an unrestricted Arrow out the back... and just let er rippp and shred and stomp and make non ending smiles knowing that you don't have to mess with the grungy chain and stuff.... I need that left handed lever thingy to go with my left foot thingy. DCT is cool... but I am older and crazier than you and I need the levers to shift gears for therapy.... think of Muscle memory... 😅( maybe someone gets it 🤔 😅) I seriously do love your choice here... as I said, I do understand you on your decision. If I had to stray away from a single sided shaft.... I would probably want exactly what you have with the Left side Lever 😁🤗🌴✨🙏🌴🌴
