GREAT! Within one minute of watching this video I had stopped my cold tap from humming in an upstairs bathroom; I never would have suspected that it was originating on the hot side! You saved me the cost of a plumbing call, thank you!

Thanks so much. Was just quoted about 800 on the vibrating noise, which I thought was crazy. Decided to check YouTube, and all I need led to do was adjust the hose. That’s wild. Thanks a lot!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This helped me resolve an issue I had with humming on about half of the water inputs (toilets, washing machine, sinks, etc.). I have a pressure regulator on the water pipe coming into the house. Once I adjusted that a bit to reduce the flow, the humming stopped!

Thanks! Adjusting valve has solved my problem. No cost, no tools required.

I can't thank you enough!!!! My hot water in the bathroom has been "vibrating" for a year and then the cold water started. I have been struggling financially and was devastated thinking about a plummer. I turned the valves like you said and now they are PERFECT!!!

Opening the bathroom sink hot water handle fully would cause a humming/vibrating sound in the wall. It started a few weeks ago out of the blue. Following your advice, I simply opened the supply valve below the sink fully, and the problem is gone! Thank you, Michael!

After checking our indoor faucet fittings as you demonstrated, the humming continued. We then checked everything outside - sprinkler valves? no change; hose bibs? Yes! one was the culprit. No more humming. Thanks

Thank you. We have been living with that noise for the longest time ever. I am so glad I found your video, we opened to the fullest and the noise is gone.

Thank you! As a DIY guy, my first reaction is normally to pull everything apart; which I nearly did. Thanks to your video, I checked that the valve was fully open. It wasn't. Problem solved and more time on my hands to pull something else apart. 🙂 Thank you!

This is a bit of a long shot but I might as well ask. Can a faulty shut-off valve also cause water to be forced through the tap randomly? My Faucet is at the highest point in the house, and intermittently, sometimes when the washer is just turned on, it will vibrate and force water through the Faucet while making the vibrating noise. Turning the faucet on alleviates it.

Hi, thanks for the video. Where's the "STEM" video? I'm getting the moaning around the home when anything water is used, including noise afterwards. Thank You

My humming is the bathtub faucet. It's a higher pitch hum and changes pitch as you turn the knob. This Delta 1400 faucet/handle was recently replaced. I also notice the water pressure is not very strong- takes awhile to fill up the tub now. I have an old house, only shutoff is at the meter by the street.

We should turn main water valve all way up in full open position and not three quarter open position, right?

Could this be a result of hard water in the pipes causing a narrowing due to sediment buildup? Meaning not the valve being the issue but partially clogged pipes?

Dude you are the man you suggestion works. One thing I found was that I had to turn the cold water valve all the way off and open the water to the full position and slowly turn the water valve on. Thanks

at 0:40 min, the humming noise could be cause by faulty on/off valve mechanism inside the Cold-Tap (valve). Had similar issue before with a few year old tap, solve this issue by replacing the on/off mechanism inside the tap.

Thanks I've been hearing this for awhile and it was exactly what you just showed me except it was the kitchen valves.
