I’m a Pro Tools user since version 3 and have just moved to the subscription model of 2022.5 from 11HD. AVID has made a world of progress. However, it’s painfully obvious Reaper left AVID in the dust some time ago. The open source model, meticulously curated, is a clear winner for DAW software, which can be monstrously complex. I enjoy Reaper’s concept of offering 3 kitchen sinks and letting its users customize backwards from there. I know for a fact every large commercial vender is watching Reaper development like a hawk to benefit from the community-wide intelligence it displays. The two programs together give my facility everything it needs.

This is really game changing for interactive music (having all the layers that you want processed in a very quick manner). I asked Cockos a month ago to implement this feature, glad they did.

The razor update is pretty cool. I was doing something similar w/ a macro of setting time selecting around razor boarders. I found there were a lot more flexible actions available to time selections in regards to audio editing. Would love to apply razor edits to midi as it would make duplicating and moving multiple notes around easier. Especially for drum programming via the tiny triangle notes.

Thanks for the video, as always! I think I understand the Render Regions Matrix via Master -- but then, I wonder, what's the difference between *that* and alternatively selecting a region's Master Mix from the Region Render Matrix and then using the simple Render Region Matrix in the render window?

Hi, this question might be off topic to the video, actually im trying to do a binaural mix, where routing matrix was helpful to quickly route track sends to a destination track. MY PROBLEM is how to scroll in the channel send's submenu in windows instead of clicking up and down arrows. Hope i'll be answered. Thanks

My cursor when using Reaper is stuck as the "Mouse" cursor, so I can not zoom in or out because I need the "I" cursor back. Sometimes when I restart the computer I get it back briefly but as soon as I touch something it goes away... Can anyone help me out this is driving me mad.
