11 Days Solo Camping in the YUKON Wilderness - Special Episode:

Now that we’re about half way trough this series, I’ve released this special episode which is basically a highlight reel - a condensed version of the first six episodes. You’ll see me outfitting the canoe in Whitehorse, boarding the floatplane for my float plane drop off on a remote river, the Bonnet Plume, Portaging, bushwhacking, camping and canoeing in the wild mountain country. Enjoy! and stay tuned for the next episode of this series that’ll be dropping on Thursday at 7pm ET.

The Yukon is a place where dreams are made and where adventurers have been going to follow their dreams since the Klondike gold rush in the 1880s. As much as anyone, I went there to follow my dreams and they became a reality…..but I wanted to go back, and I did. This film series covers my second big solo adventure in the Yukon.

I was born in Alaska when it was still a territory. My father helped with the Alcan. Log cabins, root cellars, running a trap line, tanning animal hides, listening to wolves, were just part of life. We lost our homestead in the "Good Friday" earthquake of 64. Thanks for the memories!

Nothing like a cup of coffee to help me procrastinate. I'm going to use that tomorrow before I go to work. Maybe they will fire me for being late. One can only hope.

Wow! What a tremendous film! It really makes me yearn for my youth, lol. Sadly I'm an armchair adventurer now but I can live vicariously through films like this. Thank you for that!

Production skills are outstanding. You somehow still manage to capture the raw, independent nature of the adventure. By far the best on YouTube, or anywhere for that matter.

Jim, I enjoy your videos very much you remind me of my son. He’s in Washington state serving in the US Army Fort Louis previous to that he was at Fairbanks Alaska serving up there but you remind me a lot of him and I watch your videos because he looks like you built like you and he conducts himself like you and I thought you should know that You’ve helped me a lot because I miss him very much. Good luck with your videos and your family and keep the videos coming.
